THE LATE MR SIMPSON.
The adjourned inquest concerning the death* of Mr E. Y. Simpson, who wea found under circumstance* already reported, in a paddock between Richmond and Dudley Creek on May 7th, vrws concluded yesterday afternoon. Mr R. Beethivm, District Coroner, presided, and Sergeant Bourke appeared for the police. Professor A. W. Bickerton, Colonial Analyst, said he had received the stomach and live-r from Dr. Symee, and found them ai'kalined and containing a considerable quantity of arsenic. Dr. W. H. Symea stated that he had made a pest mortem examination of the body, and found the stomach and' intestines inflamed as from an irritant. All the other organs were healthy except theheart, which was diseased. In his opinion death resulted from an irritan> poison. The jury xeturned , a verdict of death from ansenid poison, self-administered, while the deceased was in a state of temporary insanity.
