The Te Anau arrived from Dunedin at 7.30 a.m. on Saturday, and left for Auckland via tho east coast about midnight. Tho Mararoa, from Sydney, via Auckland, arrived art 8.10 a.m. on Sat——ly, and I_t for Dunedin at 5.5 p.m. Tho Rotomahana arrived from Wellington at 8.20 a..m. on Saturday, and left for Wellington at 9.35. The Emma Sims arrived from Hokitika at 9.10 a.m. on Saturday. The steamer Petono will remain in Wellington for about a week, during which time she will be put on the Patent Slip for her annual overhaul. The Wellington "Post" of Friday says:—
I "The Admirolty collier Mercedes arrived this morning from Westport with 2CCO tons of coal for tho China naval station. Tho vessel will take in another SOOO tons at this nort. and will probably get away for Hong Kong on Thursday next. For the fint time 6ince she has been running to Wellington this peculiarly-constructed craft was brought up to the wharf. She is attracting a considerable number of people to the wharf, and is well worth having a look at." The Bracmar was brought in from the stream on Saturday, and moored at tho Gladstone pier. She brings for Lvttelton 2007 bags barn. 13-2 bn-s bark powder, 1430 bags salt, ar.d 20G1 sacks gypsuni. The rest of her c—to is for Wellington. Tho Gothic iefit for Gisborno on Saturday. She returns to Lyttelton before leaving for V\ elnngton and London. The "Nautical Almanac," published by the M—-lira Depart—t>nt, a_d edited by Captain Blackburi—' v oan be obtained at any Customs House in any port iv New Zealand. The P-oj-.guin, from Nelson and Wellington, arrived at 1 p.m. yesterday. Tho Koonya arrived from Greymouth yesterday, at 3.20 «,_. Tho iSouthcr— Ia!o arrived from Collingwood yesterday, and anchored in the stream. The Dingadee arrived from Greymouth yesterday, at 7.30 a.m. The Perth-hire leaves for Timaru probably to-day. The Corii—a reached Timaru from Dunedin on Saturday mornicg. and after landing 70 touts of general cargo, she took in 400 tons of produce for Wellington and West Coast ports.
