About five hundred fishermen have been virtually thrown idle, owing to there besng no trains to carry the fish.
(Received May 11th, 1.10 a.m.) "SYDNEY, -May 10. The first levy of the NvW South Wales railwaymea in support of tho strikers, on a basis of one day's pay per fortnight, refulted in £750. Tlie levy will be continued until the trouble is ended. A meeting of tlw New South Wales branch of the Railwayman's Federation today dl=cusstd the situation. Satisfaction was expressed at the success of the strikers, _id a williug—..?s was shown to increase the levy if required. The tramway employees are also supporting tlie strike. Excepting for the blocking of the interstate in.iib, the strike no far has had little effect on New South Wales.
