THE BAGDAD RAILWAY,
BRITAIN'S DUTY.

The newspapers declare that the Bagdad railway is only possible if Great Britain consents to a. large increase in the Turkish customs nnd grants, and the railway and postal subsidy of £2<35.C00 now paid to the British mail chips, and insists upon tlie Government completely protecting British political and commercial interests. (Received April 22nd, 11.24 p.m.) LONDON, April 22. Mr Balfour stated that no change had taken place in ths Bagdnd railway question.
