IN CHAMBERS.
The following businiss was taken in Chambviii by Mr Justice Denniston yesterday. Sir Kippenberger made an application to set aside a caveat made under the Land Transfer Act. in the case of Curlett v Mason. Mr Bruges consented to the application, which his Honour allowed, with £3 3» costs. In the case Hall and another v Wilson and others, Mr Bruges applied, upon originating summons, for leave to join a party. His Honour adjourned the application, in order to ascertain the wishes of the children not represented. A motion on petition for maintenance, in re James Tobin, deceased, made by Mr Izard, was allowed to stand over until the brother of the deceased could be represented. His Honour made an order directing service of the petition upon the brother. His Honour' directed that a similar motion in re Samuel H. Martin, deceased, should stand over until Friday next. Mr Dougall appeared to oppose the application. A summons for a more explicit statement of defence in the case Wheeler and another v Blake, was also directed to stand over till Friday. Mr Meares appeared in support of a motion fox maintenance in Robertson v Robertson and another. His Honour granted the order. His Honour made an order to join defendants in the case Daily (Mr Cresswell) v Lightband (Mr Dougall). Probates were granted as follows: —Re Jamea Reid, deceased (Mr Kirk); re Michael Bourk (Mr Kirk); re Mary E. J. Jesson (Mr Kippenberger); re Joseph Glendinning (Mr Thomas); and re Richard Spear (Mr Maude). A summons for interrogatories in the cose Bone (Mr Grasswell) v Fletcher, Humphreys and Co. was directed to stand over till Friday. A claim by Mr Ashworth upon the Canterbury Auctioneering Company was abandoned, and the name of ~Slr Birdling was struck off the list of contributoriee.
