CATHEDRAL CHOIR.

TO TnE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —I am informed that Bishop Julius's appeal on Id-half of the Cathedral Boys' Recreation Fund has not me. with the success that it merits. The musical portion of tbe Cathedral s.rvic-s are now recdered in a manner that leaves little to be desired, a fact well known to the congregation, and it should be remembered that this present high state of efficiency is not attained without much hard work and assiduity en the part of the organist and choir. Surely, then, it is only right that we should show our appreciation of their labours. May I. therefore, liope that your readers will respond with greater alacrity to so deserving an object—Yours, etc., E.C. Christchurch.
