A message from San Francisco indicates that there will b? a flow of American capital to tho West Coast within six weeks fcr tho development of beach claims. Several areas north of Barrytown have ljean taken up. Tho Grey Extended dredgo continues working just below Bru-nner. She has never yet bee« on bottom, but manages to give a little over working expenses. Tha North Be-ach Company's dredgo has been engaged (repairing. The Pactolus Company's No. 1 dredge got 720z lldwt for eight days' _work, a.n<l tho No. 2 dredge, 520z lOdwt for 4J days' work. Tho ground -head of both dredges is improving, and tho No. 2 dredgo should give a larger return this week. The Kohinoor Company got 68oz lOdwt for 103 hours' work, which is * record for tho dredge. Similar wash exists for aome distance ahead. Tho Princ© of Wales Company got 320z ldwt for 110 hours' work. The drcdgeniaatcr is looking for improved returns. Tllb BtackwatcT River Company got 230z 4dwt for 127 hours' work. The dredge was working in tho creek, and was troubled with timber. The Shellback Company got 15oz 13dwt for 120 hours' work. Tho Leviathan Company got Boz 6dwt. Tho macuine is dredging in » mud hole. Tho Greenstone, Junction Company got 4oz lldwt for four days' work. The dredge is working in almost barren gravel. Thfl Greeustono Threo Mile Company ewt 3307. lOdwt. Tho Grnenstono Crock Company got 340z 12dwt. The return was a surprise, jrocing that the. machine was a good deal of the time in partially worked ground. Tho Montgomery's Terrace. Sluicing Company's w.iter nice, was officially taken over on Thursday. The .race is considered tho finest constructed on tho Wont Coast. Th« face, where work will bo commenced, looks well.
