April 2nd, 12.43 a.m.) Tlffl Russian Consuls at Mc___.ti_ and Uskub report that revolutionary bands arc increasingly active. They often number a .l'-nirEd strong, and commit, horrible outrages. The Russian Government, in a further admonitory note .to Bulgaria, in reference to her support of the Revolutionary Ccm. mittees, warns her that such action will bring her into conflict with Turkey, and acid, that it is essential.that, the execution of reforms in the Balkans should not bo liinelered. The Russian Consuls further assert that Turks provoke the massacre of Christians. Despite tlie. denials of Consuls, peasants are persuaded to join the Revolutionists by the Macedonian Committee's lies, to tlie effect that Russia is -supporting the Revolutionary movement. (Received April 2nd, 12.43 a.m.) SOFIA, April 1. Tho Turks attacked a band of thirty at Lstib, including a Bulgarian major 'and lieutenant. The insurgents barricaded a house, and after ten hours' fighting hurled dynamite bombs amongst the Turks, and es.apsd during the confusion. The insurgents lost twenty-fivo men in the fight. It is stated that the Turkish artillery as a punkhrnent razed to the ground the village of Abalitche, near Istib, and massacred the inhabitants.
