HARVEST FESTIVAL.
Among the many attractions at the forthcoming Harvest Festival, to take place on Thursday next at the Show Ground* under the auspices of the Canterbury A. And P. Association, there will be an exhibition of handling and transferring beta-by Mr Isaac Hopkins, of Auckland, the well-known npLuxkt, who has come specially from that city for the purposes of this exhibition. It is generally understood that Mr 'Hopkins has no superior in the world ac a manipulator of bees, no that the demonstration on Thursday next should nut only prove highly interesting, but also very initaictivei. Th* Moral Pete portion of the programme proniises to be-a gceat succesi. The entries, which closed on Saturday evening, "were very large and varied and some novel ideas in decoration will be displayed. The proceeds of the Floral Fete part of the programme ie to be devoted towards the improvement of the river Avon. Special trains from the country and trams ill the city will be run for the convenience of lie public.
