FOOTBALL.

The annual general meeting of the Canterbury College Football Club was held on Monday night, Mr A. E. Flower pres'ding. The report showed that during the post season a considerable improvement had been marked, both as regard* membership and piny, and the results of matches. The team entered for the Junior Flag had won six games and lost five, while the President's Cup team was to be congratulated on ct last winning a game, its record being:-—Played 7, lost 5- drawn 1, won 1. The election of officers resulted as foJlowe:—President, Professor F. W. Haelam (re-elected); vice-preeidente, Professors Cook, Scott, Wall. Blunt, Drs. Evans and Chilton, and Messrs G. T. Weston and C. H Mason; Club captain, Mr A. E. Flower (re-elected); committee, Messrs Cull, Rice, Foster. Kissel, and Acheeon; secretary and treasurer. Mr G. R. Fell; delegate to Canterbury Rugby Union, Mr C. East. After considerable discussion the question of entering a team for the Senior Cup was postpi red, to enable the committee to secure information regarding likely players. It was announced that the annual match with Otago L'niversity would this year be held in Chrietchnrch.' and tltft a match would in all probability aleo be played with Victoria College (Wellington). A vasit was also expected from Sydney University, and a committee was set up to make arrangements. With regard to » communication respecting alteration* in the Rugby Union rulea, it was resolved to instruct the Clubs delegate to vote against the proposal, except that to make noon instead of one o'clock the hour for notifying pcetponenients. •' •
