Toroa—From Chathams: 999 sheep, 3 cows, 1 heifer, and 2 horses. The Falcon, from Havelock, and the Joseph Sims, iroiu Westport, arrived shortly after midnight yesterday. The Hawea arrived from Napier early yesterday morning, and left for Napier at 4 p.m. The Toroa arrived from the Chatham Islands and the Petone from Greymouth early yesterday morning. Tlie former left for the Chathams and the latter for Greymouth last r.isht. Tho Kinclune, in ballast, arrived from Dunedin yesterday. Sho loads here, for. South Africa.
Tho Don sailed for London at 6.30 a.m. yesterday. She was towed to sea by the tug. Mr Lindsay, late acting chief officer of the M-c-ura, has been appointed master of the Poherua. , The* New Zealand -flipping Company s steamer Rimutoku will not leave Wellington until tho 21st instant. Tho Rosamond's departure for Greymouth has been postponed -till to-day. The Aparimc arrived from Newcastle at 3.40 p.m. yesterday. A steamer, going south, supposed to bo tho Corinna, passed the Her-.ds at 3.10 p.m. yesterday. Tho barque C. Tobias, now due from Ncwcustie, ha s been chartered to load produce for Auc—a::-. The Tarawera left for Wellington last night. The Aotea leaves for northern ports tomorrow. The Corinthic leaves for Wellington to-day.
The steamer Whangape arrived at Timam on Sunday evening, and was berthed at the wharf yesterday. She discharged 750 tons cf coal yesterday, and left lot Oamaru this morning.
