As the New Brighton Gala Committee has invited the tramway employees on both lines connected with New Brighton to a social, to be held on Friday nighinext at the Beach Hall, New Brighton, the usual time-table will not be adhered to on that night. The picnic of the Addington Workshops will be held on Saturday next to Otarama, the train leaving Christchurch at 8.45 a,m. A meeting of the Christchurch Dairymen will be held in the Temperance Hall tomorrow, at 7.30 p.m. The annual meeting of St. John Ambulance Association will be held at the City Council Chambers to-night, at eight o'clock, when the Mayor will preside. Several members of the Harvest Festival Committee will be at the Addington Saleyards to-day for the purpose of receiving offers of produce for the gift stall. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, wiH hold public field trials of the Osborne Columbia reaper and binder at Mr George Sonsom's farm, Kaiapoi, and Mr Geo. H. Judcls farm, Waddington, on Thursday,
