(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) .AUCKLAND, February 17. , Mrs Mary Aim Brown died at Karangahake on Wednesday. At the inquest a verdict was returned that death resulted from an overdose of laudanum, inadvertent.ly taken while deceased was suffering ! severe pain. A man named Peter Anderson was taken . to the hospital yesterday, having met with an injury to one of his" ankles, caused by coming in contact with tho wheel of a dray. ! Mr James Brittenden, a tally clerk, met ' with an accident at the Heathcote bridge , ■ last night. He left the Lyttelton train at. ; the Valley, and walked along the line to the bridge. By some means he must have ' ■ fallen over, and received rather severe in- J i juries to his head. He was taken back to v ; Lyttelton in an unconscious condition. £
