COMPETITIONS COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the Competitions Committee of the Canterbury Association was held on Saturday evening. Present— Messrs. 0. Caygill (in the chair), C. W. Garrard,. T. Reese, and R. Vincent. It was resolved that Cup matches should be postponed only on Saturday, 28th February, on the occasion of the New Zealand match being played in Christchurch. It was also decided that Jn the next round of Senior Cup matches one match should be played at Hagley Park and one at Lancaster Park.

The draw for the eighth round of Junior, President's and Vice-President's matches resulted as follows: —Juniors— United v Lancaster Park, at Hagley Park; Midland v Rivals, at Sydenham; Sydenham v Linwood, at Lancaster Park. President's—College v United, at College Ground; Linwood v High School, at Hagley Park; Sydenham v Rivals, at Sydenham; Lancaster Park v Midland, at Hagley Park. Vice-President's— High School v Sydenham B, at Sydenham; Sydenham A v Midland A, at Hagley Park; Lancaster Park v United, at Lancaster Park; Collego v Midland B, at College Ground.

Umpires were appointed as follows: — Junior Cup—United v Lancaster Park, Messrs Cooper and Gerard; Midland v Rivals, Messrs Jones and WoOler; Linwood v Sydenham, Messrs Minlfie and Hart.

Playing in Senior Cup cricket at Napier on Saturday, Lusk compiled 133 in a chanceless innings, and Trott knocked up 126 not out. These are the first centuries of the season in Napier.
