RICHMOND.
The ceremony in connection with the fcreaking-up of the Richmond School took place yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance of the parents and public. Daring the afternoon dumb-bell and club •SCTcaeea were given by the scholars, both boys and girls, and the Cadet Corps gave a wplay of military drill. A flower show, displays of cookery, needle and brushwork, were also among the items of attraction. Afternoon tea was provided, and the prizes «S&d certificates were presented by the Chairman (Mr Sorensea) to the successful •cbolars. Mr Howard (the headmaster) was presented with a silver pencil-case by the boys and girls of the Seventh Standard. The boys and girls of Standards VI- and VII. presented Mr Schneider with a pair of silver serviette rings. The following is the prize list: — ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES. First Class—Esther Tirrant.
