MRS COLEMAN'S.
A number of pictures painted by pupils attending Mis Coleman'a school were on exhibition in the supper room of the Canterbory Hall «ruiing Wednesday and yesterday afternoon. The piotures were axxuised in two grcrajw, one consisting of origia»l padiitdngs from nature, and the other of copies of other artiste' vorka. The exhibition was a pleasing, one, and •ereral of the pictuxea ehovred much promise on the part of the young artists. A chatter of roses by Mies M. Burnett, a ■tttdy in f/ait by Miss M. McGregor, and a spray of Virginian creeper by Miss v. Pxostjck deserve special mention. A - pleaeaat little concert programme was gone through "on Wednesday afternoon, tho Twbms 4teme being contributed by the pupils of tie school.
