The Upoiu arrived from Southern ports ai 8 a.m. yesterday, and left at 3.25 a.m. for New Piymouth, vie, "Wellington and Neleon. Tho Kaiigalira left the wharf at 9 a.m., and anc.icred in the stream. She left for Oainarn and Port Chalmers in the afternoon. Tho Lethington, which arrived at 10.20 a.m. yesterday from New York, via Australia and North Island porta, is a steel screw steamer of 4421 gross and 2854 net tonnage. She was built in 1901 by Messrs R. Duncan and Co., Glasgow, and is owned by Mr W. Rea, Belfast. Her dimensions are—Length 3Gsft, beam •JSft 2in, depth of hold 20ft 2in. She is commanded by Captain Millar, whose deck officers are—Ale-ssrg Clements. Black, and Kerr. On leaving New Zealand the Lethington goes to Newcastle to_ load coal for Manila.
