The Public Schools' sports take plat* at Lancaster Park on Saturday nest. The programme includes one hundred eventu, and there will be two thousand compeutors.
The bazaar in connection with tht Association of Triaity Congregational Church will be opened thL« afkrnoon, at 3 o'clock, by Mrs Justice. Denniston. There will be music and entertainments, and tliero will be no charge for admission. , The Christchurch Methodist. Mission hold their Sunday School Festival this evtning. A special meeting of tho Christclnirch Prohibition League will bo held to-morrow St. Michael's Boys' Guild will hold nn entertainment in the schoolroom this evening. A Parish Fete and ping-pong tournament takes place in the Courtenay Hall on Friday, December sth. The Marshland Cycling Club's conceit, to have been held to-night, has been postponed till Thursday, December 4th. An extraordinary special general meeting of shareholders in the Lvllehon lias. Coal, and Coke O»mpany, Md.. will be hold tm Tuesday, Decenvbtr 9th, to oousider a resolution to voluntarily wii*l up the company. A fancy fair and said of work will r* opened in St. John's schoolroom. Latinter square, at. 2.30 p.m. to-day, and will be continued on Friday and Saturday, fur th« purp-ose of reducing'the parish debt. The ladies have provimsi a large variety of attractions in the way of work ami fancy stalls, etc. A musical programme will ta given each afteraoon, and an entertaininent every evening.
