An influential deputation, including the £/>rd Mayor, Archbishop Carr, and representatives of the Women's Progressive Association, presented a petition, largely signed in Victoria and New South Wales, to the State Governor, in favour of the reprieve of Mrs Selina Sangal, lying under sentence of death for complicity in the murder of her husband afc Dandenong.
