VICE-PRESIDENT'S MATCHES.

The contest between Sydenham and the High School was brought to a conclusion at HagUcy Park, the latter winning by 53 runs. Scores:—High School, 33 and 113; Sydenham, 31 and 62.

( Tne match MkHaad v Christ's College Second ended in favour of the former by 60 runs on the first innings. Scores: — Midland, 153 and 126 (Winter 40, O'Callaghan 13 nob out, Grose 11, and Field 10); Colfege 93 (Saxton 15, Ellis 14, Murray 13. and Greenwood 16 not out), and 105 for four wickets (Griffin 34, Jenkins 21 not out, Greenwood 22 not out, aaid Cotton 12). Winter bowled well for the winners, and Stringer amd Saxton divided the bowling honours for the College. The match Sydenham v Midland was con. eluded at Sydenham Park, Sydenham winning by 104 runs. Sydenham went in first, and declared their innings closed with 186 runs. Midland followed on, and made 78 for seven wickets. Total scores—Sydenham 56 and 186 (Morland 76 not out, Cox 41, Gasson 15, Patrick 11, Rankin 10); United 60 and 78 (Thomson 31, Buckle 14, Allard 10). Thornton and Rankin bowled best for the winners, and Thomson, Joyce, and McLaren for the losers. »

In the Lancaster Park-United match, the latter team finished its second innings with a total of 84 (Frankish contributing 66 not out); thus leaving the Park winners by an and 46 v runs. For th© Park Washor took nine wiokets.
