CANTERBURY RUGBY UNION.

The committee of the Canterbury Rugby . Union met in the Clarendon Hotel yesterday afternoon. Present—Messrs G. H .Mason (in the chair), J. R Evans, J. W. Walton, F. T. Evans, S. Orchard, E. T. Harper, F. E. Asquith, a-d W. G. Garrard (hon. secretary). The report of the manager of the junior representatm team on its trip to Dunedin was received. ; It was resolved to extend the Union's patronage to* the benefit concert to be given to Mr E. Minifie. The chairman, secretary, and Mr F. T. Evans were appointed to deal with the . New Zealand Rugby Union's report and report thereon to the committee on tlie position with regard to the proposed team to visit England.
