OPENING OF THE BOATING SEASON.
The following crews have been drawn for the Fours, to be rowed on Saturday, at the opening of the boating season: — F'rst heat —H. Kennedy, J. Mahoney, D. Sheffield, and H. Skinner, meet D. Mahoney. A. Evans, J. C; K. Sibbald, and C. L. Hawkins- Second heat—H. Avers, E. J. Barnes, J. S. Guthrie, and J. J. Rvan, meet R F. Crosbie, H. Be-rrv. W. Johnston, and J. Fry. Third beat—H. S. H >bbs, G. Ebert, C. M. Taylor, and H. Watson, meet P. McEntee, F. Deigbton, A. E. Webb, and H. Mansfield. AU crews will be in -readiness at the Canterbury shed immediately after the process:*on. Tbe arrangements for the opening are all completed, and given fine weather the gathering will be a record one.
