AMBERLEY BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION.

A lmefing of the Amberloy Breeders' Association ims held yesterday, to make arrangements for the. annual show of horc.es, to be held on Thursday, October 9th. T.ie .secretary sported that the botiil number of 'entries was 270, 41 draught houes .(includin<i eight stallion**) and 96 light horns (including twelve stallions) being entered tor the various events. For the hunters' ciass there are twenty entrks. Such a result, is considered highly satisfactory, and it is exacted that the exhibition v.ill be one o» the finest of the kind held in North Canterbury fer some time. It is the second show held" under the auspices of the Association, and judging from the interest taken in the event there should be a large attendance of the public. The Railway Department (through Mr Meredith) 'has been asked to- arrange for special trains. A sale of horses will be held en the following day.
