The "Daily Telegraph" states, that owing to the opposition of Botha, De Wet and De la Rey, the proposed conference of Boer leaders has been abandoned, and also the scheme for the foum—tion of an irreconcilable party by Kruger and his followers. They hope thus *to conciKate Great Britain, and strengthen their chance of returning to South Africa.
