A syndicate is contemplating bringing water from a back creek to the goldfields, and has applied for ,400 acres for. sluicing purposes. The miners in the district, at a public meek ing, resolved that they had no objection to the granting of the areas, provided the company guarantee fifty heads of water out of every hundred to be supplied for the use of miners at current rates.
