RETURNING TROOPERS.

(PRESS association telegram.)

WELLINGTON, May 24. Sir Joseph Ward has received the following cablegram through Iris Excellency the Governor:—The Papanui left Capetown on the 18th oi May with seven men of tha New Zealand contingents, and two men of South African corps.

The following troopers returned by the Rotomah_a_ on Saturday:—Le Gros, Moore, Lukis, Small, Hart, Popham, Merry, Cowis, Matheson, Turvey, Wicks, CulUn, White, and Quelch.
