The Committee appointed to make arrangements in connection with tiie Coronation celebration met this afternoon, and had a long discussion on ways and means. It -was decided that tbs City Council b? requested to place at the disposal of the Committee a. stun not exceeding £500, on condition that the Government subscribe pound for pound of that amount, and that Sir J. properly diverting the public funds he d in trust by local bodies. This objection was over-ruled by the supporters of the resolution, who contended that the occasion was v national one, and that all public bodies should bear the necessary expenditure. The adjourned public meeting in connection with the question of the celebration of the Coronation festivities will take place at 4 p.m. to-day at the City Council Chambers,
