CYCLING.
It is seldom that the Christchurch public have an opportunity of witnessing such fine riders at La_s*st.r Park as will be there on Good Friday <at the Christchurch Cycling Club's meetiDg, day and night. W. Martin, champion of the world, Geo. Sutherland, New Zealand champion, and Pe_ar Palmer, the Queensland champion, and all ths New Zealand cracks will ride. There will also be the first appearance here of Martin's motor pacing which will pace Martin, Sutherland and 3. Amos for all new records foi New Zealand. Another novelty is the pacing dog, which will race a cyclist once
round the park, the rider on the racing path and the dog on the grass, the dog pacing all
the time. At ths nicht meeting a number of novel event-* w_l ho held..
