'In the match between the English team and Bathurst, the Englishmen in their first innings have lost seven wickets for 414— McGahey 71,-Quaife not out 131, Garnett 89, MaoLaren not out 74. NORTH ISLAND v SOUTH ISLAND. (?XU_S ASSOCIATION TKLKO-U--,) DUN3SDIN, February 7. Mr J. Baker has selected the following eleven, to. play for the South Island in the South v North match:—<A. E. Ridley, F. S. Frantash, S. T. Callaway, and A. Sims A. H. Fisher, G. G. Austin, R. Wilkie, F. Williams, A. E. Geddes, A. Downes, and J. C. Baker (Otago).
