OBITUARY.
United Press Association—By Electri*. Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 7th, 10.12-a.m,) ADELAIDE, February 7. Sir John Colton, a former Premier of South Australia, is dead.
Sir John Colton was shorn in Devonshire on September 20th, 1823, and emigrated to South Australia jn 1839. He became Premier of South Australia on June 6th, 1876, his Ministry lasting sixteen months. On June loth, 1884, he again formed a Cabinet, which* lasted a year. Subsequently h*-"* retired fro*a public life, and paid a lengthened visit to England. He was knighted in 1891/
