Mr Frederick ■ Treves, F.R.C.S., one of the most eminent men in his profession in Great Britain, was Surgeon JkYjraordinary to Queen Victoria, and is Surgeon-in-OrdV nary to the Prince of Wales. Hβ went out to South Africa for some months at the beginning of lost year as consulting surgeon to toe forces, and has -written a -book en bis experiences. ■ * .
