Some time ago the Premier represented to Lord Kitchener that the meat companies of Queensland were able to supply the "army in South. Africa at prices under those?whichthe Imperial Government .was then paying. A reply has been received from the War Office authorities asking the Premier to advertise in the Australian papers calling tenders for the supply of meat in South Africa for twelve months. Tenders close on January 12th next.
