KATAPOI.

At the last meeting oi the Kaiapoi School Committee the Board of Education intimated that it would attend to the rickety state of the bell fower during next holidays. The headmaster reported the number of scholars on the roll to be 479, and the average attendance 419. Two cases of irregular attendance were referred to the police, as usual in such cases. An application for £1 2s 6d to assist the football club was granted, but it was agreed that it should not form & precedent. It was decided to call the Board's attention to the state of certain asphalting.
