Our Dunedin correspondent telegraphs that the master of the Island Creek Company's dredge reports that there is a decided improvement in tie wash. According to * report issued to the snare' holders of the "Watterson's Consols Company; an additional sran of £1500 will be required to equip the dredge and open out $he claim, and this sum ia proposed to be raised on ft first mortgage oa the dredge and claim, either from a Dank or private individual. Additional security will be required, uifd the shareholders are asked to assist the company by giving demand notes as guarantees for sums of from £5 to £50 according to the number of share* they hold. The contract for the erection of the machinery has been let to the Despatch Foundry Company, -who state they will finish, inside three months. CAKTEBBURY STOCK EXCHANGE.
