FOOTBALL.
A match was -rlay&d in the 'Sheffield Domain on Saturday afternoon between a picked team of the Malvern Mounted Rifles and a'tenon chosen from the three Maivern road districts. A keen and evenly contested* game resulted in a. draw, each side scoring eleven-points. Tries were scored for the Rifles by E. Colthart, W. Wright, and A. Borroan. W. Colthart converted one.- 'For Malvern, G. Fraser, H. Bowker, and J, •Milliken scored tries, W. Keane converting one. Conspicuous in the play for the Rifles were J. Taylor and A. RutJedge forwards, and the three brothers Colthart (backs). For Malvern the MHliketr Bro& $ttd <J. Butler played well in the forwards", vrhile Scott, W. Keane, and H.. Bowker were, the pick of the backs. Mr G. Applebj- gave every satisfaction as referee. . Both teams were entertained at dinner in the Sheffield Hotel in the evening. ~- *■ . '
