Tfce wind increasing, the Shamrock 11. did grand windward.work, and gained the advantage. fhe rivals ran liome with their booms to port, and their spinnakers t* starboard. Although, owing *o a drop in the wind within two miles of home, the Columbia was leading, it was anybody's race, and both were {igaiin even witihin i»lf a mile.of the finish.
