PIGS AND POULTRY.

Pigs were entered in about the usual numbers at Saturday's markets, and met with rather a duller sale than last week, stores making lis to 18s, _nd suckers and weaners .4s to .10s. - Poultry was in fair supply, and there was an active demand for local consumption, prices being too high tor much business being done for export. Hens brought 2s 9d to 3s 9d, pullets 3s 6d to ss, roosters 3s 3d to ss, ducks 4s to 4s 9d, turkey cocks 18s to 225, all at per pair.
Messrs Beauchamp and Co. sold by auction- on Saturday a cottage and! section of sixteen perches at the satisfactory figure of £570. The property waa knocked down to Mr D. Bates, who purchased on behalf of a client. ' ...
