CONFERENCE OF SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

TO THI IDITOB OF THB PRBSS. Sir,—One of the candidates for the Education Board election, Mr C. Opie, advocates the holding of a conference of school committees. I think this is a step in the right direction. The Boards have their conference, the teachers and inspectors have theirs, and it is very necessary that committees should have a conference. There are many matters ripe for such a gathering. I am glad to notice that the School Committees' Association have taken the matter up. I trust they will not let it rest till the conference is an accomplished fact.—Yours, etc., CO3DIITTEEMAN.
