At the annual Orange celebrations, the keynote of the speeches was strong opposition to the alteration of the Coronation Oath. The Rev. E. T. Dunstan said: — "Aβ coon aa you do away with the Oath you will be called upon to get rid of tie Protestant succession, and there will be what there is now in Australia—Roman Catholic domination.
