ROYAL PROCESSION. SATURDAY. JUNE 22nd, 1901. rpXE PBOCESSION will coneiet of all •*• Mounted Corps from the Canterbury Dietrict vq& Two Guns from the E Battery. Details showing positions of various companies will be issued to O.C. The Procession will be formed up at 11 a.m., the front portion of the procession or escort will take up a position in Manchester street at sufficient distance up the street t<y allow of the Royal Carriage being in its proper place in front of Railway Station. The rear portion of the escort or procession will form up on South belt to east of railway station in such a position as to enable them to draw up into their positions in ihe procession as it advances. The Procession will proceed from the Railway Station via Manchester, High and Colombo streets, Cathedral square and Worcester street to Provincial Chambers, thence via Gloucester and Colombo streete to Victoria square. Here the various Friendly Societies will march past, the procession thence proceeding via Victoria and Salisbury streets, Park Terrace and Carlton Mill road to Royal residence. On arrival at Royal Residence the Procession will wheel to left and go via Helmore'e bridge to quarters. No Troopa will enter grounds of Royal Residence. Plans of route will be issued to O.C. Canterbury Mounted Troops. The four guns of B Battery at Victoria square will, when they have completed the Royal Salute on arrival of H.R.H., proceed to a position to west of Carlton Bridge, and from there fire a Royal Salute as H.R.H. enters the Royal residence. O.C. will arrange for signal. 2. LIMNG OP STREETS. SATURDAyTTuNE 22nd. The undermentioned Troops to be in thoir respective positions at 11 a.m. Bands, unless detailed, for guards of honour, -will parade with their respective battalions, and play national airs as ordered. j§ Troops will march to and from their positions by the shortest route:— Section No. I.—From Railway Station along Manchester and High streets to north side of intersection of Lichfield street, Auckland, Nelson, and "Westland Troops. Section No. 2—From intersection of Lichfield street, along High and Colombo streets, and Cathedral square, to the western, side, Ist North Canterbury Infantry Battalion, South Canterbury Infantry Battalion, and Canterbury Engineers. The senior officer present will be in charge of this Section. Section No. 3.—From west side of Cathedral square along "Worcester street and Cambridge Terrace to front, of Provincial Buildings, along Gloucester street to intersection of Colombo street, Wellington Troops. Section No. A:— From Gloucester street along _Colombo_ and Victoria streets to north side of intersection of Victoria Bridge, 2nd North Canterbury Infantry Battalion. Section No. s—From Victoria Bridge, along Victoria street, to Peterborough street, Otago Troops. Section No. 6—From Peterborough street along „ Victoria and Salisbury streets, Park Terrace, and Carlton Mil road, to Royal residence, Brigade of Cadets. ■ Drees—Full dress. O.C.s will be held entirely responsible for the sections allotted to them. The senior officer will be in charge of section. Troops lining route will be one pace in front of fence, and at suoh interval as may be necessary. Front rank on left side of street, rear rank on right side. Officers one pace in front of men. Twelve men from each section of route to be detailed to patrol and keep order at Rack of crowd, and prevent pressure on front. Companies will be ordered to "Shoulder arms" when the head of the procession reaches them, and to "Present Arms" when the carriage of his Excellency the Governor and his Royal Highness- "arrives 30 yards from the flank of the company. "Shoulder arms" when the Royal carriage has passed, and "Order arms" when all mounted troops have passed. Fifteen minutes after last of procession has paeaed troops will march by shortest route to quarters. Major Day will act as Staff Officer for line of Toute on Saturday and Sunday, and will see to the proper posting of troops. Plans of route will be issued to O.C. Sections. .■-'■'. 3.—ROYAL REVIEW. HAGLEY PARK. MONDAY, 2tth JUNE, 1901. Troops will be formed up in line of quarter columns by 9.30 a.m. Detailed instructions will be issued, with plans showing position of various brigades. Brigade Majors, Adjutants, and Brigade and 3attalion Markers will report to D.A.A.G. oh Review Ground, opposite to Grand Stand at 8.45 a.m. A parade of all troops will be held in Review Ground on Sunday, 23rd June, at 3 p.m. for rehearsal of Review. ' - 4. BRIGADES. Tho following Corps will be Brigaded together under command of Senior Officer of each arm present: — " Naval and Garrison Artillery.' Field Artillery. Engineers. Mounted Infantry. Returned Troops (Ist Battalion North Island, 2nd Battalion South Island). Wellington Brigade, including Mounted Infantry (dismounted) and Infantry. Canterbury Brigade, including Nelson and Weatland Troo,ps. Otago Brigade, including Auckland Troops. .Cadets' Brigade under command of Captain Loveday. 5. PARADE STATES. O.C.V Camps will furnish full parade states by 9 a.m. daily to Major N. L. D. Smith It.A.A.G., at Drill Shed. On Monday Battalion Parade States for Review to be handed to D.A.A.G. on the Review.
