The Cust Mounted' Rifles, under Captain •' Millton, and several of tlie Kaikoura men I who were deft at Culverden on Wednes- ', day, eitne into camp by train this morn- : ing. Tho North Canterbury troop, fifty I strong, under Lieutenant W, Uru, formed | up at Kaiapoi at 1 p.m., and came i_}to j camp by road. • It is to be regretted that j Captain D. Cossgrovo was unable to join , his fine corps owing to" an attack of acarlet fever. Ths following mounted corps .arrived yesterday: —Ashburton Mounted Rifles, 84 strong; Cheviot Mounted Rifles, .5 strong; Amuri Mounted Rifles, 60 stron*.; kaikoura Mounted Rifles, 46 strong. The-"O.Y.C.* the C.M.R., the Ellesmere iM.E., .the Malvern M.R.,' the North Can--1 terbury' M.R., and thc Waimakariri M.R. also went into camp yesterday. The I Naval Artillery from Auckland, IQO strong, arrived yesterday, as did also the West'ond I Rifles, the Reefton Rifles,, and tho Greymouth Rifles. Ths Canterbury mount-d corps are camped on tho A, and P. Asworiation's Show Ground, and the Trotting Club's grounds, at Addington; the Otago mounted corps wiil be camped on th*. Kaleyards' grounds at Addington.
