Mr Charles N. Candie, of Toronto, Canada, is on a visit to Christchurch. Mr S. Solomon, of Dunedin, went south by yesterday's express.
Mr M.' f>. Manning, Mr J. Barclay (Oamaru), Mr J. Young (Oamaru), Mr Matthews (Timaru), *Mr C. J. Scott (Dunedin), and •Mγ A. Dawson were passengers for the north by the Tarawera last night-
Mr A. Day was a passenger for the south. by the express yesterday. Mr T. Ramsay was also a passenger. Mr W. K. Toinlins went south by the express yesterday. Mr R. Coward was also a passenger. Mr J. W. Drake was a passenger for the south by the express yesterday. Captain Brown arrived from Wellington by the Tarawera yesterday. Mr W. H. Gaw reached Christchurch from the south last night.
Trooper C. E. Nurse came from the south yesterday. Mr T- Wareing was a passenger by last night's south express. Mr R. OV Pitt left for the north last night. Mr Alexander Foster, until recently schoolmaster at the Chatham Islands, left Christchurch for the north last night. Mr Ambrose Brown was a passenger from the south by last night's express.. Mr Alexander Knight, of Dunedirt, is in town. Mr R. London is at present visiting Christchurch. Mr Walter Clifford arrived in town yesterday. Mr Go*. HV Harbroe, oi Wellington, arrived in Christchurch yesterday. 'Messrs H. C WiUoe and dive King reached town yesterday. Captain Davison came from, the south yesterday. ■.:■''■'' ' * ' Mrs R.
