Wellington—Wind, N.N.W., moderate gale; baro., 30.10; therm., 65; gloomy. Westport-— Calm; baro., 29.85; therm., 61; overcast, sea moderate swell. Kaikoura— S.W., light; baro., 29.90; therm., 68; fine, sea smooth. Oamaru— Calm; baro., 29.75; therm., 63; fine, sea moderate. Bluff—Wind, N.E., fresh; baro., 29.57; therm., 59; rain. THE WEATHER IN AUSTRALIA. The following 9 a.m. weather reports from Australian stations have been received: — Albany, April loth—Wind, N.; baro., 80.20; showery. Hobart, April 15th—Wind, W.; baro., 29.70; showery. Sydney, April 16th—Wind, N.W.; -aro., 30.00; fine. Captain Edwin telegraphs that Sydney and Albany report increased pressure, but it has probably risen at Hobart, though the report shows a lower reading of the barometer. Low pressure from the west is approaching the meridian of South Cape, and one is also due there on tho 18th. Unsettled weather, with a prevalence of high westerly winds, is to be expected generally until the 20th inst.
