NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
The annual smoke concert in connection with the C.R.C. will be held on Saturday next at the Boathouse.
Mr Northcote, who is well known here in connection with kinematograph shows, has secured a lease of the Oddfellows Hall
(which is to be repainted and redecorated throughout), and he avill open there on Saturday next avith his London purchase, the Spectral Sketch- Company, which avill include several latest London novelties.
A jumble sale of useful articles is announced to take place at St. John's schoolroom to-morroav, commencing at 3 p.ni. A sale of work in aid of the Ministering Children's League Convalescent Cottage will be held in St. Barnabas schoolroom. Fendalton, on Saturday next, from 2 to 7 p.m.
The adjourned meeting of dairymen will be held in St. Michael's school to-morrow, at 8 p.m., when the report of the committee will be presented.
