Rivals A beat Rivals B on the first innings by six wickets and 23 runs. Scores —B team 74 (&. Petrie 16); A team 70 \R. Wilson. 20, D. Petne 13, .Donnelly 27 not out). Garty bowled best for the winners. In the heat Midland v Sydenham, the former had made 122 in their first innings, and JolJowed with 57 in their second (Wliitta 21 not out and Ward 17). In their sscond innings the suburban clui> couid only make 37, and thus suffered defeat by a big mojority. The match L.P.C. v U.C.C. resulted in an unexpected win for the former, as the U.C.C. first innings score only reached 118—20 behind. In the second inninge the L.P.C. made 15a (North 36, "Washer 28, Saxton 22). The U.C.C. in their second innings had to. make 172 in three-quarters of an hour, and they scored 117 for four wickets, the L.P.C. thus winning on the first innings by 20 run 3.
