A SUPREMELY IMPRESSIVE SCENE
Every head was uncovered on the route as the coffin passed, and the crowds were dumb, the only sounds being the notes of the Funeral March, and the distant booming of minute guns. It was a supremely impressive scene, with the sea of upturned faces. Many -people wept, aavd the long lines of soldiers, with reversed arms and bowed heads, was strangely pathetic.
