I (rBESS ASSOCIATION' TKLKCRAM.) ! XAPIER, January 14, The interprovincisl cricket match Auckland v Ilawke's Bay ended in a very comfortable win for Hnwkc's Bay by an innings and 77 runs. The Auckland form was extremely disappointing. After Ilawke's Bay had succeeded in putting together 326 in their first effort on a wicket that waa in splendid condition for big scoring, it was thought thai the visitors would at least make a fiimilar response, but they failed to rise to the occasion. With the exception of the form shown by the two Mills, Auckland's' second innings was only a moderate display of bowling. When play ceased on • Saturday Ilawke's Bay, in their first innings, hod made 91 for four wicketa. Following ia the 'score : — HAWKE'S BAY. First Innings. Cr.
