THE BOERS DRIVEN OFF. (Received January 15th, 12.41 a.m.) LONDON, January 14. Fourteen hundred Boers at daybreak on the 12th attacked Zaurfontein and Kaalfontein. They were repulsed, and driven in an easterly direction, the cavalry pursuing them. A field cornet was captured, and several killed. The British casualties numbered six. Kaalfontein was shelled for six hours. The garrison of 140 maintained an exceptionally _allant defence. Tho Boers attacked Zeerust on the 7th, hut were repulsed. Six British were wounded. DEFEAT OF THE ENEMY AT SENEKAL.
