Moderate to strong southerly winds elsewhere. Barometer—Further rise everywhere. Sea—Heavy on the eastern coast between Lyttelton and the East Cape; moderate other places. Tides—High on the East Coast between Lyttelton and the East Cape, good southward Lyttelton, moderate everywhere else. Temperature will continue low. Warning signals for westerly gales aie exhibited at Cape Maria Van Dieman, Tiritiri, and Cape Campbell. STHOPBTB 07 THE PBITIOUS 24 BOTTSS. Increased pressure everywhere, but raovem«mt has been slow northward of Lyttelton and Hokitika, strong modrate southerly winds having been prevalent with, colder weather. Rain has been heavy in parts of the North Island. Evidences show there is a low pressure at from 100 to 150 miles east of the East Cape, travelling S.E.
