The following prices are ruling: —Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, Canterbury, 4_d ; Dunedin and Southland, none offering ; North Island, 4|d. Lamb, prime Canterbury, 6d; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, - Wellington, and secondary Canterbury,. s£d. New Zealand b-*f, 1801b to 2205b, fair average quality, ox forequarters, 3£d; ox hindquarters, 3Jd. River Plate crossbred or merino wethers, heavy, 313-16 d; light, 3|d. At the hide sales there was no demand, and practically the whole of the offerings were withdrawn.
Tin, stocks afloat 16,734 tons, on spot 6977 tons. Straits and Australian afloat 4564 tons; deliveries for the month 2565 tons.

Messrs Da_g_ty and' Company, Limited, have received ths following cable message from their London office, under date 30th tilt, i —
"Froz-n meat.—Mutton pdjees are firmer, prime New Zealand crossbred being worth 4£d' to 4£d par lb. Stocks are very small. Prime N«w Zealand lamb is worth Od to 6,d per lb. Stocks are nearly exhausted, and pro.-p.cts aire good. Prices of beef are a shade firmer.
-Butter.—We quote Victorian prime factory at 110s to 112s per cwt. All medium and inferior qualities are relatively neglected. **I_eather and b:i_*_ls are in fair demand, and price- are _u__y m:_nta_ned.'
